Posts will undoubtedly become sparse over the next week due to the following developments:
1. The most high profile, yet least exciting thing: I’m crewing a major British feature film funded by BBC Films and Studio Canal, shooting in Liverpool in February. Well, crewing the crew that hasn’t already been crewed.
2. The Helmholtz Resonators video I directed has got The Fades all excited, so I’ve been hired to create a video for them that’s full of explosions and robots and.. uh… meccano.
But that’s not all…
3. As part of my ongoing commission/contract/whatever with Lost At Sea Records, I’m shooting a video for The Dawn Fanfare‘s new single, which is called Daylight Savings.
It will not have explosions or robots, but will instead feature a tall man looking at camera and grabbing things. It sounds boring, but it’s full of excitement. Guaranteed.
4. After filming The Liverpool Style Awards and a couple of other big events last year, I’m directing the Centre Island awards. Which are about… islands… located… centrally?
5. Oh, and another Lost At Sea thing: I’ll be directing the video for a track by Aurora’s Dream. I think that shoots on Thursday, although I couldn’t say for sure… I’m so busy, there is now no time to leave my desk for the bathroom, so I’ve lost my diary somwhere under the piles of my own neatly-stacked faeces that I will remove once this stupidly busy January is over.
Then, an as-stupidly-busy February will likely begin.
Celebrity news will be every Saturday as normal, and Disney Deconstructs continue to be monthly.
And in-between all that, I’ll be Twittering about music, celebrities, television I’m pretending to watch, and my creative attempts to kill my cat and dog because they are morons (and a sack in the river is just too easy. And the waste of a good sack.)
